Additional Skills |
I can most definitely do content editing,
which I guess can also include a small amount
of ghostwriting if needed.
I don't ghostwrite as such (like doing a
whole book), but I guess it can be included
as in-depth changes to existing content.
Also, I have successfully translated books
from British into American English, and I
found that to be really interesting.
Even in America, regards East and West Coast,
the South or Appalachians, the language authors,
or that of their characters differs. I have
learnt to adapt to that, and edit in the authors,
the characters style and location.

Reading
Hello! My name is Monica San Nicolas, and
I'm a US native from California. I hold a
Specialized Certificate in Copyediting through
the University of California, San Diego as
well as a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling.
I have over 7 years of experience as a fiction,
non-fiction, and technical editor. I've successfully
completed over 190 editing jobs on Elance
and Upwork, in addition to 45+ for private
clients. I look forward to the opportunity
to put my expertise to work for you!

I
currently offer editing services for the following:
Fiction (romance, mystery, thriller, urban,
YA)
Non-fiction
Instructional/courses
Technical documents and reports
Academic reports and articles
Websites
Psychological/self-help
Christian/Biblical writing
I am always looking to expand to new genres
and add more to the list!
Monica worked as a freelancer on Elance until
it was sold to Upwork. Her work history can
be viewed here:
Monica's
Upwork Link.
You can hire Monica on Upwork, or via Charlotte
Greene [CG].
There is little difference, except that Upwork
scam about 10% in charges, split between the
freelancer and client. CG ask 1.5% for
single jobs, 2% for jobs with milestones.
That's all.

John Morris says, " Monica was great
to work with, and always on time. I thought
her charges were very reasonable.
"She worked on five books for me, which
included some content editing, and she suggested
rewording, or minor insertions. I remember
one was approaching a scene from a different
point of view, and after due consideration,
I did. It worked very well.
"I specifically remember her work on
Inner Sanctum and Conspiracy Theory, which
were set in San Diego, California.
"Monica travels in her free time, and
knew the places I mentioned in the books.
She was amazed I at my description of Palm
Springs, and said, 'Jonno, I've been there.
It's just like that in real life.'"
